ISSNApplication after Issue 1
The Korean Academy • Where Language Meets Research
The editorial team of the KORA Journal of Korean Language & Studies. Every person listed here has agreed to serve in the role shown.
KJKS is actively appointing editorial board members and reviewers across Korean linguistics, language pedagogy, second-language acquisition, translation studies and Korean studies. Anyone qualified may apply — you do not need to be invited, and you do not need a connection to The Korean Academy.
To apply for the editorial board — as an associate editor, a board member, or to the advisory board — write to the Editor-in-Chief at jiha.yoon@yahoo.com, copying admission@thekoreanacad.com, with the subject line KJKS Editorial Board Application. Attach a short CV and say which subject area you would cover and roughly how much time you can give.
To apply as a reviewer, complete the journal's reviewer application form and email it with your CV. Applicants need an ORCID iD and any two of eight eligibility criteria — and students and recent graduates in Korean linguistics or Korean studies are strongly encouraged to apply.
How appointments are made. Reviewers are selected for expertise in the specific subject of a manuscript, never for availability alone, and no one reviews the work of a close colleague, classmate, student or supervisor. Nobody is listed on this page without having agreed in writing to serve, and we are particularly keen to appoint members from outside our own alumni network.
